Privacy Policy
Jose Santos is responsible for the information collected through JoseSantos.org, jsantosconsulting.com, and related advisory inquiries. This policy explains how that information is used and the choices available to you.
Information collected and used
When you contact me or arrange a conversation, I collect the information you provide, such as your name, email address, message and appointment details. I use it to respond, arrange discussions and consider or administer an engagement. An inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
The website and its providers also process technical information needed to operate the site and protect it from misuse. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or confidential business material in an initial inquiry.
Cookies and analytics
With your permission, Google Analytics helps me understand how visitors use the website and its resources. Optional analytics is intended to measure website activity without collecting the contents of your messages or booking answers. You can accept or reject analytics cookies and change your choice through Cookies in the footer. Your preference is remembered for approximately six months.
Google Analytics currently retains event-level data for two months and user-level data for fourteen months, with the user period resetting on new activity. Aggregated reports follow different retention rules.
Service providers and external websites
I use service providers for website operation, inquiry forms, scheduling, communications, security and analytics. They process information needed to provide those services. Information may be processed outside Canada and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.
Links to other websites and interactive services are governed by those services’ own privacy practices. Business replies may come from an address at jsantosconsulting.com.
Retention and safeguards
Information is retained for as long as needed to respond to inquiries, provide agreed services and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. Routine inquiries that do not become engagements are scheduled for deletion within twelve months after the last meaningful contact, unless a legal obligation or unresolved matter requires longer retention. This includes retained inquiry notifications.
I use safeguards appropriate to the information and the services involved. Records connected to client engagements, billing or decisions affecting an individual may be subject to separate retention requirements.
Your choices and privacy requests
Optional website analytics is configured not to collect your name, email address or the contents of your messages. Technical information, including cookie identifiers, may still be processed. Analytics records are not ordinarily associated with your contact details, so locating a particular visit may not be possible.
For information you provide through the contact form, by email or in the course of doing business with me, you may request access, correction or deletion through the Contact page. You can also use that page to raise a privacy concern. Please identify your message as a privacy request. Some records may need to be retained to meet applicable legal obligations.
Policy updates
This policy supersedes previous website privacy policies. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate, and fresh consent will be requested where required. Separate engagement agreements may contain additional privacy and confidentiality provisions.
